How’s our Mohave County Home shopper’s doing today? How about everyone else?! Its that time of year, when everyone is drinking some sort of pumpkin spice something! I’m the boring one drinking water, what’s in your cup?

It’s also the time of year when our winter visitors start showing up to avoid the winter weather around the nation. It’s no surprise that many of them are moving here permanently. Baby Boomers are retiring here too.

Arizona is second in the nation for drawing in new retirees.  Arizona grew by a net 28,614 residents older than 60 in 2016 up from 27,576 in 2015. AZCentral reports, “Sunshine, low taxes and an affordable lifestyle are the state’s top draws for many baby boomers ready to slow down a bit.” Check out their report here.

Did you know it is National Emergency Nurse’s Day today? It’s observed annually on the second Wednesday in October to say “Thank You” to the emergency room nurses for their hard work, dedication, service, and commitment to their patients and families, and their loyalty to the emergency nursing profession. It’s been celebrated since 1989, sponsored by the Emergency Nurses Association as a part of Emergency Nurse’s Week.
